May 26, CNBM International Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNBM) signed the contract for a 3,000 TPD clinker production line in Libya. Chairman of Libyan Social and Economic Development Fund, the Libyan ambassador to China, and the local mayor of project site etc. attended the signing ceremony.

The owner is African cement and building materials company, and the total contract amount is more than 170 million U.S. dollars; as the EPC contractor, CNBM will be responsible to design, procurement, construction, and erection & commissioning works. The kiln firing is expected after 24 months from the signing of contract.

This project is another success during the internationalization of CNBM, and also shows that CNBM has successfully stationed in the Libyan market. It is understood that this project is the first one to adopt Chinese technologies, and select Chinese company as EPC contractor in Libya, thus China`s cement technology will be further recognized in North Africa market.

Mr. Huang Anzhong, Chairman of CNBM International Engineering Co., Ltd., and Mr. Zhang Liao, GM Assistant attended the signing ceremony. Chairman Huang spoke at the ceremony, said that CNBM would be willing to create prosperity of Libya with Libyan people, and would complete the project with best quality and fastest speed to maximize the investment profits of the owner.
