Recently, the winners of the 23rd China Patent Award were announced. China Jushi Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China National Building Material Company Limited (CNBM), won the China Patent Gold Award (patent name: glass fiber composition and its glass fiber/composite materials). Beijing New Building Materials Public Limited Company (BNBM) won the China Patent Excellence Award (patent name: formaldehyde-removing paper-faced gypsum board and its preparation method).

Jointly sponsored by China National Intellectual Property Administration and World Intellectual Property Organization, the China Patent Award is the only government department award in China presented to inventions and creations which are granted patent rights. As the highest patent honor in China, it’s also recognized by the UN World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The “China Patent Award” aims to promote the creation, protection and application of intellectual property rights for the purpose of high-quality economic development, and is presented to patentees and inventors (designers) who have made significant contributions to technological (design) innovation and economic/social development.
