On November 7, 2022, under the guidance of the Social Responsibility Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and organized by the China Social Responsibility 100 Forum (ESG Expert Committee), “Building an ESG Ecology and Promoting Sustainable Development - ESG China Forum 2022 Winter Summit” was held at the 5^th China Business Forum.

The “ESG Blue Paper of Listed Companies of Central Enterprises (2022)” and the “Central Enterprises ESG Pioneer 50 Index” were released at the meeting. Guided by the Social Responsibility Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and implemented by the Responsibility Cloud Research Institute, the index evaluates the ESG governance, social and environmental value creation and risk management of 426 listed companies controlled by central enterprises. By evaluating the performance of enterprises and their performance in terms of ESG governance, social value and risk management, 50 enterprises are selected as components of the “Central Enterprises ESG Pioneer 50 Index”, “Central Enterprises ESG Governance Pioneer 50 Index”, “Central Enterprises ESG Social Value Pioneer 50 Index” and “Central Enterprises ESG Risk Management Pioneer 50 Index”. These indexes provide an important reference for the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council to supervise ESG work of listed companies of central enterprises.

In the 2022 “Central Enterprises ESG Pioneer 50 Index”, CNBM and China Jushi, a listed company under CNBM, are selected for two consecutive years, and their rankings rose to No.33 and No.11 respectively.
