On May 5, 2023, Zhou Yuxian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CNBM Group, and also Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CNBM, and the visiting guest Yu Honghui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Forestry Group Corporation, witnessed the execution of a four-party “Voluntary Emission Reduction Trading Framework Agreement” by and among CNBM Group and its holding subsidiaries, and China Forestry Group Corporation and its holding subsidiaries. Wei Rushan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CNBM Group, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of CNBM, signed the Agreement on behalf of CNBM Group.

Forestry carbon sinks play a critical role in achieving carbon neutrality. This cooperation represents a significant step in the field of “carbon management”. It showcases the active implementation of the “SASAC Guiding Opinions on Promoting High-Quality Development of Central SOEs and Achieving Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality” by CNBM Group and China Forestry Group. It demonstrates the commitment of central SOEs to assume their responsibilities and accelerate integration into the national green development and “Dual Carbon” agenda. This collaboration serves as an important measure for achieving green and low-carbon transformation. As the core industrial platform and flagship listed company of the Group, CNBM will proactively implement the Trading Framework Agreement, and actively promote the scientific utilization of forestry carbon sink resources to support its green and low-carbon development, “net-zero emissions”, and carbon neutrality goals. By doing so, CNBM aims to lead the industry in implementing the national “Dual Carbon” strategic deployment.
